Abstract

The idea of politeness in cross-cultural communication is critical for understanding how various cultures interact and perceive social activities. Politeness as a social standard varies substantially among cultures, affecting the efficacy of communication in intercultural situations. This study investigates the many components of politeness, such as verbal and nonverbal displays, and how cultural variations impact perceptions and behaviors of politeness. This study seeks to give a complete knowledge of how politeness functions in cross-cultural communication, as well as its consequences for global contacts, through the analysis of theoretical frameworks and empirical investigations.
