Abstract

This article discusses the linguistic, cultural and semantic features of military terms used in English and Uzbek languages. From the analysis of the collected materials related to the research, it became known that affixation, conversion and compositional methods are productive methods in the formation of English and Uzbek military terms. In addition, in order to find out the total number of military terms of English and Uzbek languages, the terms were classified based on the criteria of the linguo-statistical method. Along with this, the components of the military terms in the languages in question were considered.
