Abstract

The prevalence of COVID-19 in the world and its leading to serious complications and fatalities remain one of the global challenges of medicine today. Coronavirus infections manifest primarily as a lung infection, with fever and changes in the respiratory system in most symptomatic patients. However, it has significant extrapulmonary complications affecting many organ systems, including the gastrointestinal tract.
