The Emergence of The Neighborhood and Its Current Stages
Abstract
The article examines the history of the emergence of the mahalla and the problems of its existence at the present stage, in particular, the function and improvement of the territories of the traditional makhalla in accordance with the requirements of sustainable development of the city. On the territory of the mahalla, there is an interval for the implementation of each function depending on the population size, and the initial limit of this interval indicates the minimum required number of population to begin implementing the function (min), the second upper limit indicates the required sufficient population (max). An increase in the population from the minimum required to the necessary-sufficient means that from the beginning of the implementation of the function there is an opportunity for its more and more complete implementation.
