Despite the absence of the term "international jurisdiction" in international agreements involving Uzbekistan, the concept of "competence" is commonly employed, which some scholars argue is synonymous with international jurisdiction. This discrepancy highlights the complexities surrounding the interpretation and application of jurisdictional principles in the realm of international law. However, the terminology used in Uzbekistan's legal system may differ from international standards, reflecting the unique nuances of its legal tradition and development. The article also explores the evolving understanding of jurisdiction in the context of international treaties and agreements.
