Quantitative Analysis of Some Biokinetic Variables and their Relationship to the Accuracy of the Skill of Defending the Court in Volleyball for Premier League Players

The importance of this research lies in exploring the quantitative analysis of biokinetic variables in improving the skill of defending the field in volleyball, and providing scientific recommendations to enhance athletic performance at the individual and collective levels. The problem of the research lies in the fact that defensive skills in volleyball are of great importance in achieving a high level for the team and scoring points, especially the skill of defending crushing strikes of both straight and diagonal types. Therefore, the skill of defending the field is one of the basic skills in volleyball, which depends largely on biokinetic aspects, which made the researcher interested in delving into this field through his field experience as a volleyball player and coach and following up on developments and updates at the level of offensive skills. Therefore, he decided to study biokinetic variables as a result of the lack of studies and information and the absence of an accurate understanding of how biokinetic variables affect the effectiveness of performance in the skill of defending the field in addition to the lack of comprehensive quantitative data that can be used to improve training methods and develop defensive performance in volleyball. The objectives of the research are to identify the values of the quantitative analysis of some biokinetic variables and the accuracy of the skill of defending the field in volleyball from position (5) for players in the Iraqi Premier League, as well as to identify The differences in the values of quantitative analysis of some biokinetic variables and the accuracy of the skill of defending the field in volleyball from the center (5) for players in the Iraqi Premier League. As for the research methodology, the researcher used the descriptive method using the method of mutual relations, which is consistent with the nature of the research problem. The research community was identified, represented by the players of the Iraqi Premier League clubs in volleyball, represented by Al-Bahri and Al-Ghaz Al-Janoub clubs, numbering (30) players for the sports season (2023/2024). As for the research sample, it was also selected intentionally, from the players of the clubs (Ghaz Al-Janoub, Al-Bahri), numbering (10) players, representing (33.33%) of the research community. As for the most important conclusions, the significant differences found in the kinetic variables and accuracy are due to the harmony between the work of the muscles of the feet and arms through the optimal exploitation of the mechanical conditions that the player needs while defending the field in volleyball.
