Abstract

Occupational safety and health play a vital role in ensuring sustainable development in biotechnology and the food industry. These sectors involve constant exposure to biological agents, chemical substances, and technological processes that may threaten workers’ well-being and product safety. Establishing effective safety management systems not only reduces occupational risks but also guarantees high-quality food production. Moreover, implementing modern monitoring and preventive measures enhances both employee health and consumer trust, which is crucial for global food security. This article highlights the importance of occupational safety and health practices in biotechnology and the food industry, emphasising their role in maintaining sustainable productivity and protecting public health.
