Abstract

The portrait plays an important role in revealing the character of the hero. One of the main psychological image tools of artistic psychology is a psychological portrait. The portrait of the character is manifested in the peculiarities of his appearance, face, posture, eyes, facial expressions, behavior, gestures and gait. Appearance refers to the character of the character. The writer introduces the reader to the character of the hero through a portrait image. Like other visual media, the portrait has a special place in the work. The role and function of the portrait in the work is determined by the writer. The image of a portrait is unique, unrepeatable, and its function is definitely unique to each writer. The writer usually portrays characters who are evil in nature as ugly or somehow flawed in the eyes of the reader. This, of course, depends on the creative individuality of the writer. The character's inner experiences, thoughts and character as a person are revealed through a single portrait image. "The uniqueness of the portrait of the hero also depends on the literary genre of the work. In the drama, the author limits himself to showing the details related to the character's age, his position among the characters in the action, and his behavior in the remarks. Depicting the character with small details is a characteristic of epics, and it is in epic works that the hero's portrait is presented in extraordinary detail, creating a detailed impression of his position and character in society "[ 3.93]," writes scholar Shahlo Botirova. We all know how skillfully Abdulla Qadiri portrayed the portrait of Kumush in the novel " Gone Days". The writer did not describe this portrait, but drew it. In a work of art, both the main characters and other characters are created figuratively, that is, they are given by the writer through narration.
