A person discovers a world of meaning when they read one of the poet’s ghazals; when they read it again, they discover still another world of essence and meaning. This article discusses how the ghazal “Tun Akshom Keldi-yu...”, which depicts the agony of a lover sweltering in the heat of separation and emigration, harmoniously expresses romantic and mystical notions.
