Abstract

The Egyptian Arabic dialect, commonly referred to as Masri, is the most widely spoken Arabic dialect in Egypt and has considerable influence across the Arab world, especially through media and entertainment. It developed primarily from the Arabic language brought by Arab conquerors in the 7th century, blending with local languages like Coptic and elements from other languages such as Turkish, Italian, and French due to Egypt’s diverse history of rulers and foreign interactions.
