joint space narrowing. Noninflammatory, degenerative arthritis causes sclerosis, osteophytes,
nonuniform joint space narrowing, and cysts. Chronic tophaceous gout typically causes erosions with
a sclerotic margin and overhanging edge in peripheral small joints
