Abstract

This article analyzes the role of entrepreneurial entities in ensuring sustainable economic growth, focusing on their quantity, share in the economy, and development trends. Entrepreneurial entities play a vital role not only in creating new jobs but also in introducing innovations, fostering a competitive environment, and increasing budget revenues. The analysis reveals that in Uzbekistan, the number of small business entities has been steadily increasing from 2014 to 2024, which has had a direct impact on GDP growth rates. The article also highlights the contribution of private entrepreneurship to socio-economic stability, the rise in employment levels, increased regional economic activity, and growing export potential. Furthermore, the theoretical foundations of entrepreneurship in modern economic development are examined based on the research of scholars such as Audretsch and Thurik (2001), and Espinosa, Wang, and Zhu (2020). The article concludes that supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), enhancing their innovative capacity, and promoting them through economic policy are essential conditions for sustainable economic growth.
