An Immunological and Microbiological Approach to Treating Patients With Fractured Mandibles

Abstract

The aetiology, pathophysiology, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of pyoinflammatory complications in mandibular fractures continue to be urgent issues. This article explains how a microbiological and immunological approach to treating patients with mandibular fractures does not lessen the trend toward this topic and presents some of the research findings.
