Abstract

In the process of simultaneous translation, the translator achieves the practical goal by acquiring linguistic, pragmatic, and communicative competencies. It is known that competence consists of specific skills and knowledge and includes sub-competency groups. This article reflects the role of competence in simultaneous interpretation.
