Using Reading Skills in Practical English at Technical Universities

Abstract

Reading is an important skill for language learners. It gives learners the opportunity to expand their vocabulary, improve their grammar and comprehension skills. Moreover, reading can help students learn about different cultures and points of view and become more sensitive and open-minded.

The article deals with the use of reading technique skills in English as an important stage of students' learning in a technical university. The article substantiates the importance of learning to read special (technical) terms for students of non-linguistic universities.
