Abstract

Independent acquisition of knowledge refers to the self-directed learning process where individuals seek, evaluate, and integrate information outside formal education systems. This approach has become increasingly important with the expansion of digital learning resources, promoting skills essential for lifelong learning, adaptability, and resilience. This article reviews key literature, examines strategies and challenges, and analyzes data from surveys and interviews to understand how independent knowledge acquisition impacts personal and professional growth. The findings highlight best practices and offer recommendations to enhance self-directed learning in various contexts.
