The Khorezm Archaeological and Ethnographic Expedition (KAEE) was established in the 1930s and played a significant role in the archaeological and ethnographic research of Central Asia, particularly the Khorezm region. The expedition, led by S.P. Tolstov, focused not only on archaeological excavations but also on studying the ethnographic aspects of the region. This article examines the ethnographic activities of the KAEE, its importance, and the findings of its research.
