Television Media in the Light of Digital Transformation: Challenges and Opportunities

Television media is undergoing fundamental transformations amid rapid digital development, which has altered the patterns of media production and consumption. This study aims to examine the status of television media in the digital era by analyzing the challenges it faces and exploring the opportunities that can enhance its sustainability and effectiveness.
The research problem lies in the declining influence of traditional television in favor of digital platforms, creating technological, economic, and professional challenges for TV channels. The significance of this study stems from its timely discussion of a vital topic concerning the future of Arab media, providing a scientific reference for media policy development.
The research adopts the descriptive-analytical approach and addresses several key topics, including changing viewing habits, weak technological adaptation, and loss of audience, versus opportunities such as interactive digital broadcasting, integration with social media, and customized content creation.
The findings indicate that digital transformation is not a threat but rather an opportunity for television development, provided there is strategic planning and investment in human resources and digital infrastructure. Furthermore, integrating television with digital platforms appears to be the optimal model for keeping pace with modern media trends.
