Abstract

This paper studies adverbs as parts of speech. As parts of speech, adverbs express some situation associated with an action or state, or point out a characteristic of an action or quality. English and Uzbek use adverbs  differently. In English they are often formed from adjectives or with the help of expressions. But in Uzbek they are formed with the help of coined words(adding suffixes-ча, -ма, -лаб, -дай, -часига, etc.)
