Abstract

Polypropylene (PP) fibers are widely used synthetic fibers known for their lightweight, high tensile strength, chemical resistance, and affordability. These fibers are produced through a melt-spinning process and have applications in various industries, including textiles, geotextiles, automotive, medical, and construction. This paper explores the production methods, physical and chemical properties, and diverse applications of polypropylene fibers. While their advantages make them highly desirable in modern manufacturing, challenges such as UV degradation and environmental concerns need to be addressed through advanced polymer engineering and recycling strategies.
